Game features

5 Lions Megaways balances its ornate eastern theme with 3 solid features: tumbles, wild multipliers, and free spins. Here's how each of them plays out in the game.

Tumbles

Landing 3 or more matching symbols in any position on consecutive reels from left to right triggers a payout. Winning symbols disappear and are replaced by those above, which can result in a chain reaction of additional wins.

Wild Multipliers

Whenever the lion wild symbol appears in a winning line, a multiplier of 1x to 40x is applied to the win.

Free Spins

The yin and yang symbol is this slot's feature-triggering scatter symbol. Landing 3 or more of them on the reels at once unlocks the free spins feature. Choose from the following combinations of free spins and wild multipliers:

• 6 free spins, 15x, 30x, 40x wild multipliers

• 10 free spins, 10x, 15x, 30x wild multipliers

• 13 free spins, 8x, 10x, 15x wild multipliers

• 15 free spins, 5x, 8x, 10x wild multipliers

• 20 free spins, 3x, 5x, 8x wild multipliers

• 25 free spins, 2x, 3x, 5x wild multipliers

• Mystery: A random number of free spins and wild multipliers from the above options

Whenever a wild symbol appears in a winning line, one of the range of wild multipliers will be applied.

Free spins can be retriggered by landing 3 or more yin and yang symbols during the feature.

My verdict

Two things immediately struck me when playing 5 Lions: the gentle nature of the soundtrack and the gorgeous golden design of the animal symbols. The wild multipliers combine nicely with the tumbles, adding extra value to the base game. I particularly like being able to choose my preferred free spins and multipliers combination for the feature. I can choose high spins and low multipliers, the opposite, somewhere in the middle, or a mystery combination, depending on how I feel. This variability makes the slot ideal for those who like to experiment a little.
